Since I was a young boy, I often felt like an alien trapped in a human body.

I genuinely believed that one day my real brothers and sisters would come back for me and take me home.

Because this world never quite felt like it was built for the way my mind worked.

Years passed.

I addapted.

I learned the rules.

I studied behaviour

I mirrored what I thought was "normal"

And for a long time, I believed I had adjusted.

At least, that's what I told myself.

Then one day, someone asked me a simple question:

"Are you autistic?"

It wasn't an accusation.

It wasn't judgement.

It was a key.

That question unlocked curiosity.

I began to search.

To read.

To analyse.

To understand.

And the more I read, the clearer everything became.

The patterns.

The intensity.

The exhaustion from masking.

The deep focus.

The hypersensitivity.

The way I saw system, structure, connections.

Nothing was random.

Nothing was broken.

They set me free.

I realised something profound:

And yes, sometimes struggles with what others find effortless.
